I'm so happy that Aidan and I have just won these Royal Doulton Kaleidoscope ramekins!

We've decided to put together a small set of these beautiful dishes as our Christmas presents to each other.

We bought the covered casserole dish too... and maybe the mugs too... and also some plates

I think I'm going to try making these empanada mini pot pies first. There are a few nice looking recipes in the LCBO Food & Drink magazine too.

The Kaleidoscope pattern was made from 1972 to 1978... and it's gorgeous. We first came across this pattern as a full set (!) at Value Village back around 2003 maybe. At the time I was still living 4 hours away from Aidan and we decided to just get five of the large plates and leave the rest... and we've regretted not purchasing the entire set ever since!

But we will be together again soon, Kaleidoscope!
